A Dallas rapper was arrested in July on sexual assault and weapon charges after an incident in which he is accused of kissing the female victim.
Yella Beezy was booked on sexual assault and unlawful carry of weapon charges on Friday, according to Dallas County court records obtained by the Dallas Morning News.
In the police report on the incident, which also alleges the rapper grabbed the woman’s breasts and buttocks, the woman tells police he gave her a “violent” hug in which he “physically kissed” her, grabbed her by the back of the neck and squeezed her neck so hard that he left “redness and pain.”
The 20-year-old rapper has also been indicted by a grand jury on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police were called to a Dallas-area hotel about the incident on July 11, and after interviewing the victim, police arrested Yella Beezy.
Yella Beezy is a hip-hop artist and member of the Dirty Money crew. In recent years, he has released two albums — “IDGAF” and “Soulshine.” He is signed to Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers Records.
More information is expected to be made public in a criminal case filed against Yella Beezy on Monday, according to a statement released by Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon.
