Hate watching…Or watching so much you feel bad for kids? Dad arrested for possessing child porn

A 44-year-old man from Toronto was arrested Saturday on charges of possessing child pornography and of accessing and trading child pornography over the internet, the Canadian Police Service said in a statement.

The man is not being named in accordance with standard police protocol and he is not being identified by name as well to protect the identity of some of the victims, the National Post reported.

The suspect is also known for sharing child pornography over the computer in his local library, the Toronto Police Service said.

The officer in charge of the investigation said he believes the man had access to some “young kids” or “young teens.”

“This guy is a child predator, and he should be treated like a child predator,” said Toronto Police Det. Larry Corrigan.

In court, Corrigan said the images were of “some very young, young juveniles being sexually abused.”

“Some of the children depicted are still as young as four years old, some are as young as two years old,” he said.

The Toronto man was arrested at his home at about 9 a.m. and charged with four counts of possession and making available child pornography.

He has been charged with at least three other offenses and will be in court Monday.

The investigation, which began last summer, involved the Canadian Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police.

The suspect was the third person arrested this month in Canada who police believe has had access to children over the internet.

A 30-year-old man from British Columbia was charged Thursday with possession of child pornography. Another man, 22, from Alberta has also been charged with the possession of child pornography.

To date, about 11,000 images and videos have been downloaded by police investigators. Police say they believe there are multiple victims.
